Easy Brownies

Can you believe that I have a son who doesn't like chocolate but loves broccoli? What planet did he come from?? :) This is the brownie recipe I use when I need a quick treat, or something to go under vanilla ice cream, because let's face it: vanilla ice cream looks so lonely all by itself! You can whip these up and have them in the oven in under 10 minutes. Woohoo!

Easy Brownies

1/2 cup butter, melted
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs
3/4 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips, toffee bits, m&m's, or whatever sounds good!

Preheat oven to 350. Combine melted butter, sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl. Grease a 9x13 baking dish.

Add the flour, cocoa, and salt. Give it a good stir. Mix in whatever assorted chocolate you want. Spread into a baking dish.

Bake for about 25 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
