Happy Monday! Here is my favorite waffle recipe. I make Belgian waffles with this recipe, and we all love them. They are so good with yogurt, fruit sauce, or just plain syrup.
And the moment you have all been waiting for - the Healthy Living challenge for this week: Drink 8 glasses of water each day! Water is so good for you. It’s recommended that you drink one ounce of water for every 2 lbs. of body weight. Did you know that drinking enough water each day can help you burn calories faster? It helps to increase your metabolism, curb your hunger, helps ease headaches, improves the look of your skin and hair, helps your digestion, and helps keep all the systems of your body in balance. I notice a huge difference when I drink enough water during the day. Now go make these waffles and have them with a glass of water!
2 cups flour (I use whole wheat)
1 ¾ cups milk
½ cup vegetable oil
1 Tbsp. white sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
½ tsp. vanilla
Preheat waffle iron. Beat eggs until well mixed. Add flour, milk, vegetable oil, sugar, baking powder, salt, and vanilla. Mix just until smooth.
Cook, eat, drink some water. See how easy that is?!?!?
